Terms & Conditions
These terms cover use of the GT Laser website and the handling of manufacturing enquiries. They do not, by themselves, form a complete sales contract. GT Laser Ltd is registered in England and Wales under company number 10197596. Its registered office is 18 Frank Brookes Road, Cheltenham, England, GL51 0UW. Contact us at office@gtlaser.co.uk.
How these terms apply
GT Laser works with business and consumer customers. This website is primarily a business manufacturing and quotation website and is not an online shop. Sending an enquiry, artwork or files does not place an order or oblige us to manufacture anything.
Applicable law and statutory rights take priority. The accepted quotation and any other written terms expressly agreed for a particular job govern its specific commercial terms. These website terms then apply to general website use, enquiries, artwork, specifications and the manufacturing process to the extent they are consistent with that agreement and the law.
Website use
Use the website lawfully. Do not attempt unauthorised access, disrupt the service or submit malicious material. Website descriptions and images are general guidance. Confirm the material, dimensions, finish, quantity, tolerances, application and any critical performance requirement in the agreed job specification. A pictured result is not a promise that the same result is suitable for every material or use.
Links to other organisations are provided for context. GT Laser does not control their websites, availability or privacy practices.
Quotations and agreeing an order
We may issue a quotation or written offer after reviewing a requirement. A manufacturing order is normally formed when GT Laser expressly accepts the customer’s order in writing, including by email, or when another method of acceptance has been expressly agreed. A quotation or purchase order alone does not amount to acceptance unless GT Laser confirms or otherwise clearly accepts the order.
A quotation is based on the specification, quantity, artwork, data, materials and assumptions it identifies. Its validity, price, VAT treatment, sample or prototype charges, included items, payment arrangements, lead time, delivery and any international duty or tax treatment are as stated in the accepted quotation or other expressly agreed writing, subject to applicable law.
Samples and prototypes are chargeable where the quotation says so. Changes in quantity, specification, configuration or supplied information may require a revised price or timetable. A purchase order or website submission does not automatically replace terms that GT Laser has not accepted.
Customer information, materials and artwork
Provide accurate drawings, dimensions, spelling, variable data, QR destinations, artwork and other job information, and tell us which requirements are critical. You must be entitled to supply and authorise the use of any names, logos, designs, data, materials or components provided for the job.
We use customer-supplied material for the agreed work. Supplying it does not authorise public marketing use. The treatment of customer-supplied components, including special handling, testing, spare pieces, wastage, replacement or risk allocation, must be agreed for the particular job, subject to applicable law.
Proofs and approvals
If we provide a proof, review the content, spelling, dimensions shown, layout, orientation, variable data and QR destinations and tell us about corrections before approval. A screen proof cannot establish every material colour, finish, engraving depth or installed scanning condition.
Proof approval confirms the details shown in that proof. It does not remove GT Laser’s responsibility to manufacture to the agreed specification or remove rights and remedies that apply if GT Laser makes an error.
Design and intellectual property
Each party keeps the rights it already holds in its own artwork, designs, names and other material. GT Laser may use customer material as needed to assess the enquiry and perform an agreed job. Ownership or licence terms for design or development work created by GT Laser must be expressly agreed for that job. An enquiry, quotation or payment does not by itself transfer rights beyond those given by law or the agreed writing.
Website text, images and designs belong to GT Laser or their respective owners and may be used only with permission or as the law allows.
Manufacture, payment and delivery
Manufacture proceeds against the accepted specification, artwork and data. Any critical tolerance, acceptance test, deadline or special material requirement must be agreed for that job. Payment dates, overdue-payment provisions, delivery arrangements and the point at which risk passes are those in the accepted quotation or other expressly agreed writing, subject to applicable law. These website terms set no universal quotation-validity period, payment deadline, late charge or delivery-risk rule.
Consumer cancellation rights
If you are a consumer and we enter into a contract with you at a distance or away from our business premises, you may have a statutory right to cancel, normally within 14 days. Where that right applies, we will provide the information required by law before the contract is made.
The statutory cancellation right does not generally apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised. Whether this exception applies depends on the actual nature of the goods; selecting from standard options does not necessarily make an item bespoke. Any applicable cancellation right and any exception will be identified for the particular order.
These cancellation provisions do not affect your statutory rights if goods are faulty, not as described or otherwise fail to meet the standards required by law.
Changes, cancellation and problems
Contact us promptly if you need to change or cancel an accepted order, especially once bespoke production or material commitments have begun. The applicable rights and any properly agreed charge depend on the specific contract, work already committed and the law. These website terms impose no automatic cancellation charge.
If work appears defective or differs from the agreed specification, contact office@gtlaser.co.uk with the order reference and relevant details so we can investigate. Nothing in these terms removes a consumer’s statutory rights or excuses a manufacturing error.
Liability and disputes
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. These website terms introduce no general monetary liability cap. Any business limitation must be expressly agreed in writing and must be legally effective.
Governing law, jurisdiction and any agreed dispute process for a manufacturing order are determined by applicable law and the written terms expressly agreed for that job. Mandatory consumer protections, including rights to use a competent local court where applicable, continue to apply.
Events outside reasonable control
If an event outside reasonable control affects an order, the affected party should notify the other promptly and discuss reasonable steps to reduce delay or disruption. Any change, suspension or cancellation follows the accepted contract and applicable law. This wording does not create an automatic right to retain payment without delivering the agreed work.
Changes to these terms
We may update these website terms for future website use and enquiries. An accepted order remains governed by its agreed terms and applicable law. Last updated: 4 October 2026.
